When the creators of a popular game series launched their latest installment they faced an unexpected challenge. Despite the success of the previous games, the newest title was struggling to gain visibility and user acquisition in the Apple App Store. After gaining a clear understanding of the challenges, I set out to craft a strategy that would not only improve the game’s visibility but also enhance user acquisition. The strategy was comprehensive, encompassing various aspects of the game and its marketing. It included changes to the game title, icon, store listing, extensive keyword recommendations, minor UI/UX adjustments, an update strategy, and user acquisition tips. While the effectiveness of these strategies can only be evaluated once they are implemented and their impact on the game’s visibility and user acquisition is assessed, I believe that they provide a comprehensive roadmap for improving the performance of the game.
