Backstage

In today’s digital age, visitors (especially potential business partners) want to get to know the real person behind the service. It’s not about booking services – it’s about connecting with people… so here’s a peek behind the curtain with some personal details and background:

where I'm from and how I got here

Originally I come from the small-town of Harsewinkel, world-famous for being the birthplace of the self-driving Combine Harvester (“Claas”). The next bigger city in this fine area of “Ostwestfalen” is Gütersloh, where I went to school and did a business apprenticeship at “Miele”. After successful graduation and right before the turn of the century I then ended up in Hamburg, right in the heart of the “Schanzenviertel”, that I never really left too far behind ever since…

Nowadays you’ll find me in the triangle of “Schanze”, Eimsbüttel and Northern Altona.

(some) games that shaped my youth

I grew up in the era of the Atari VCS 2600 and coin operated Arcade Machines in Ice Cream Parlors. As a player you were used to having three lives and no option to “revive” or “continue”. Here are some* of the platforms and games that I love(d), roughly in historical order:

*I didn’t want to go overboard with the list and decided to only pick three per platform – not fair, I know…

Atari 2600: Pitfall, River Raid, Enduro
Arcade: Donkey Kong, Moon Patrol, Green Beret
Commodore 64: M.U.L.E. , The Bard’s Tale, Elite …to name a just a few – a great list can be found here
Amiga 500: Sensible World of Soccer, Ports of Call, Defenders of the Crown
Sony Playstation: Wipeout, Soul Edge, Medal of Honor
Sega Dreamcast: Rez, Speed Devils, House of the Dead
Sony Playstation 2: Tony Hawk’s Underground, Frequency, Gran Turismo 3

…well and from there on I moved into games professionally and things became pretty blurry… so many games, so many platforms, console, mobile, whatever…
